Sir David Attenborough

Were you as upset as I was when you heard the applause following David Attenborough’s plea at the Climate Change talks yesterday? Weak, polite, non-committal. Yet the great man spoke briefly and with passion, mostly using the common people’s voices, as he was chosen to represent us.

Those who do represent us at those vital talks care nought about what we are asking. That was obvious in their ineffective response. They who we elected pretend to represent us, but their response shows they stand for industry, for investment, for the wealthy whose greed has caused Earth’s natural systems to start crumbling.

They are the man (mostly they are men) sawing off the branch he is sitting upon. We who watch in dismay from the fragile leaves of this lonely branch, the only one left on the tree of life, realise we are all going to fall into oblivion together and yet they are NOT listening!

We can only shout together.

Quick, time is short, start now. #LOVE the #ENVIRONMENT and #CLIMATECHANGE with #CLIMATEACTION together. Or keep helping that idiot cut our lifeline short - ‘Our’, being every living thing….
